Open Acrylics are a slow-drying paint with a softer consistency than the heavy-body range, perfect for a wide range of techniques including more traditional styles ordinarily only achievable with oils.

The drying time also reduces paint wastage, with some artists able to use the same palette for weeks when covered between sessions.

Golden Open Acrylics are recommended for a thin layered application in pure, straight from the tube form or, alternatively, can be mixed with other faster drying acrylics for a speedier finish.
