Schmincke has been developing and manufacturing its Horadam line of watercolours since 1881. Today the Horadam line includes 140 colours, 72 of them formulated with a single pigment. Each colour has its own individually optimised formula.

Madder Brown: This is a lightfast alternative to the former Madder brown. It is a rich warm red brown made from modern, organic pigment. Recommended for portrait and nude painting.
